AH-SAI-YEE Refunds and returns policy

1. FOOD & BEVERAGE PURCHASES
1.1 No Refunds for Change of Mind
Because our food and beverages are made fresh to order, AH-SAI-YEE does not offer
refunds, exchanges, credits, or remakes for:
- change of mind
- choosing the wrong item
- personal taste preferences
- deciding you no longer want the item after preparation
All food sales are final once made.
1.2 When You Are Entitled to a Remedy (Australian Consumer Law)
You are entitled to a replacement or refund if a product has a major problem, including
where it is:
- unsafe or contaminated
- significantly different from what was described
- not prepared with reasonable care
- incorrect or incomplete
We will always comply with ACL requirements.
1.3 Incorrect or Incomplete Orders
If we make a mistake, we will fix it immediately by remaking or replacing the item.
2. MERCHANDISE PURCHASES (IN-STORE OR ONLINE)
This applies to items such as clothing, accessories, bottles, cups, and branded merchandise.
2.1 No Change-of-Mind Returns
We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit for:
- change of mind
- incorrect size selection
- unwanted gifts
- deciding you no longer want the item
This applies to both online and in-store purchases.
2.2 Faulty or Defective Merchandise
You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if merchandise is:
- damaged or defective on arrival
- not of acceptable quality
- breaks under normal use within a reasonable period
This does not include damage due to misuse, wear and tear, or ignoring care instructions.
2.3 Incorrect Items Shipped (Online Orders)
If you received the wrong item, size, or colour, we will replace it or refund you if
replacement is unavailable.
2.4 Condition of Returned Merchandise
Faulty items must be returned:
- in original condition (unless the fault made this impossible)
- with proof of purchase
- with all tags and packaging where applicable
2.5 Proof of Purchase
Required for all merchandise claims.
3. ONLINE MERCHANDISE ORDERS – SHIPPING, DELIVERY & RETURNS
3.1 Shipping Delays
Minor courier delays do not entitle customers to a refund.
3.2 Lost Parcels
If a tracked parcel is confirmed lost, we will replace or refund the order.
3.3 Incorrect Delivery Address Provided by Customer
Refunds are not provided when an incorrect address was entered. Reshipping fees may
apply.
3.4 Return Shipping Costs
For faulty items, AH-SAI-YEE covers return shipping. For customer errors (e.g., sizing
mistakes), the customer covers postage.
4. DELIVERY ORDERS (UBEREATS / DOORDASH / OTHERS)
Refunds related to:
- spills
- delays
- driver handling issues
must be submitted through the delivery platform. We cannot override their refund
decisions.
We remake items when the issue was caused by our preparation.
5. GIFT CARDS, VOUCHERS & PROMOTIONS
- Gift cards are non-refundable
- Promotional items cannot be refunded or exchanged
- Faulty promotional items will be replaced, not refunded
6. PROOF OF PURCHASE
Proof of purchase is required for all assessment, replacement or refund requests.
7. MANAGEMENT DISCRETION
We may offer a remake, replacement, or store credit at our discretion. Remedies may be
refused in cases of:
- policy misuse
- unreasonable or repeated claims
- abusive behaviour
- damage caused by misuse
